How much material can the Mortarman 750 mix?

Depending on the material the Mortarman 750 has a batch output of up to 20 cubic feet / 1600 lbs. Its important to remember that you can't mix any aggregate larger than 3/8' minus pea gravel and that the aggregate can not be more than 40% of the total mix

What materials can the Mortarman 750 mix?

The Mortarman 750 can mix pre-blended mortars, conventional field mix mortars,stucco, dry pack floor mortar, refractory mortar, and various pre cast mixes. You cannot use any aggregate larger than a 3/8" minus pea gravel with a 40% maximum percentage of the mix.

How fast can the Mortarman 750 mix?

Depending on the material the Mortarman 750's powerful mixing action can thoroughly mix up most materials in under 5 minutes. The controlled sliding gate discharge allows the mixer to either completely empty in about 45 seconds or allow staged emptying of the drum. How important is it to have the Mortarman 750 on its support legs?

The Mortarman 750 must be raised onto its 4 support legs before mixing for maximum stability and mixing performance. Mixing on the wheels and suspension can cause instability and be dangerous.

What kind of electric power does the Mortarman 750 need?

The Mortarman 750 needs a heavy duty 220 volt electric service in either single phase or 3 phase.

Can you get the Mortarman 750 with a poly drum?

The Mortarman 750 is not available with a poly drum.

What maintenance is there with the Mortarman 750?

Other than regular cleaning out after each use, the Mortarman 750 requires very little maintenance. The belts need to be tightened after period of time since they will stretch. The shaft and bearings are enclosed so do not need attention. There are wear items however that based on the volume of usage. The rubber on the discharge grate may need replacing as well as the steel faces and rubbers on each paddle. The amount of wear is based on the abrasiveness of the material as well as the amount of batches per day so a schedule for replacement can vary.

Can you move the Mortarman 750 around when there is material in it?

The Mortarman 750 is not designed to be moved while material is in the drum or while it is mixing.

Can you get the Mortarman 750 with a gas motor?

The 750 is available with a 13 hp Honda gas motor with electric start and a 3 belt centrifugal clutch

How much cleaning of the drum is needed with the Mortarman 750?

The 750 drum and paddle design allows the drum to be completely emptied of material thru the bottom discharge grate in about 1 minute. There is cleaning to be done though at the end of each day to make sure material doesn't dry and build up inside the drum

Can you install a speed control on the electric version?

There are rheostat controls available on the market that can be installed to allow for variable paddle speeds on the electric 750. It is best to consult with your electrician.
